Shoot Me!
Are you in the Denver Metro Area & want your picture taken? Please email me at ray@fotomoondo.com after reading the terms below.
My main focus is to create images & getting compensated for my work is not really an issue (at least not right now). I would like to start building a portfolio that includes portrait (studio or outdoors) and documentary type work. It doesn’t have to be restricted to these two categories so if you have any interest in having your photo taken then feel free to email me. I would be more than happy to exchange ideas on how to create an image.
Since I’m a one man show and don’t have an assistant, I do ask that you bring a helpful friend or family member during the photo shoot just in case I need someone to hold a reflector or something.
If you want your photos taken digitally, I usually do it for free & burn the images onto a CD copy for you to keep. If you prefer film (color), developing & printing will then be at your cost. However, I do need to keep the film for my portfolio but you can print as much as you want from any local labs of your choice (I have recommendations if you want one). I have my own darkroom so I can I can develop and print Black & White photos myself. So if you want prints I would ask that you reimburse me for the cost of the materials - no markup. Of course, I can always scan black & white prints & give you CD copies for you to print at your leisure.
I’ll only charge a fee if you ask me to travel really far away for a photo shoot – mostly for the cost of travel. The only other way I would charge for my work if people are banging on my door to have their picture taken (which I don’t think will happen anytime soon) and take up too much of my personal/family time.
The not so legal stuff (conditions & terms)
I hold the copyright to all photos that I take. If I do take your picture, you agree that I have the right to post them in any publication or showcase my work on either my website or other websites. I will do my best to notify you if your photo will show up anywhere. For example, if a company wants to use my photos in an advertisement, I hold the right to have it published. I will not give out any personal information (ie names, addresses, or contact information) unless you want me to.
